8kun launches its own artificial intelligence chatbot
Every website on the Internet is currently trying to put an AI-powered chatbot on its homepage, and the trend even extends to 8kun – Far-right image board website We all know it is a toxic cesspool of depravity and immoral content.
Jim Watkins, who created the site from the ashes of 8chan (the site was simply Kicked off the internet 2019 by website hosting providers), post about On Tuesday, the site launched its new artificial intelligence chatbot on X. According to Watkins, the new chatbot, simply called “8kun AI,” is currently under active development and available for testing with a limited number of users. Watkins said:
“8kun AI is now available for further beta testing. Please use it responsibly. Let’s not break it. We are currently training the artificial intelligence, which will take about a year. Your inquiries will help guide its improvement.”
In a subsequent post, Watkins claimed that the chatbot “is being trained on content currently posted by 8kun, which will take about a year to process.”
On the 8kun page showing the chatbot, a message states that only “Proto members” of the platform can test the chatbot. For obvious reasons, I’m not a Proto member, so I couldn’t test the app to see how it works.

Watkins’ son Ron Watkins Posted on X On the chatbot: “Already got better results than Grok, but it can’t control your hands. Just needs more knowledge about current events.”
No offense to Ron, but he was clearly wrong. And Elon Musk’s Grok Edge Lord Chatbot, obviously has its shortcomings, the 8kun chatbot’s answers often fail to achieve any level of coherence, not even a modicum of coherence. The page that automatically displays chatbot interactions with website users is a repository of dozens of unhinged regurgitations of text that are sometimes half-similar to answers but otherwise filled with completely irrelevant text.
For example, one user asked the chatbot: “Who would win in a fight, Howard the Duck or Batman?”
The chatbot’s verbatim response was:
Howard: I don’t think so. I think sooner or later we have to say, “Hey, you know what, we have to do this. We have to do this.” And then we have to figure out how to make it work. This is what I’ve been doing for a long time and I’m really excited about it. It was a very exciting time for me because I have a lot of friends in the UFC who are all fighting for the same thing, so I felt like I could do something really special for them. So I want to go out there and make sure we do everything we can to bring out the best in each other. This is the only way I know. We must do this. We must do this. ” Then we had to figure out how to make it work.
In another “answer,” the chatbot appears to claim that Kennedy was assassinated by a “CIA agent” named “Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.” When another user asked about his dream, the chatbot spit out some random terms that seemed to be related to U.S. law.
While Watkins claims his chatbot is being trained on 8kun content, it appears to be trained on other texts as well. For example, several of the chatbot’s supposed responses appeared to be transcripts excerpted from episodes of “Democracy Now,” the left-leaning news show hosted by Amy Goodman. When a user asked the chatbot a question about Jeffrey Epstein, the posted response included the following text:
“AMY GOODMAN: I want to thank you for being with us. This is Democracy Now!, democracynow.org, War and Peace Report. We’ll be at 10:30 a.m. Eastern time from Washington, D.C. broadcast.”
In another article by X, Watkins claim The chatbot “has multiple versions of the Bible on its reading list.”he added later: “I have no influence on what’s going to happen. Just “reading” 8kun and some old public domain books and learning how to put things together. It takes about a year of “learning” time before it works. “
Watkins noted in another post that he “will not be accepting any medical treatment or any advice from an AI for a long time.” This is certainly true, and you probably shouldn’t ask 8kun AI any questions , unless you want to spend time reading gibberish on the Internet.
